  1. Hi Alex
    I love your idea of a tele-fundraiser.
I am a big believer in contributing to the greater community and personally sponsor 2 world vision children. I am also a keen supporter of Kiva as they don’t give handouts, but help people create a living for themselves and their families. As a business owner myself, I love the idea of helping others start their business with micro-finance. When I discovered Kiva I send out emails to my personal list to encourage others to “loan” money which some did, but I think a tele-fundraiser would be more emotive and effective.

I love the idea of micro-fundraising an in fact run a business based on that concept. Check us out at http://www.ourgv.com/inspire. Our mission is to raise 1 billion dollars for world wide non-profit organizations by 2034 and most of it will be done a nickel and dime and quarter at a time. I guess you could call it nano-fundraising. Basically our concept is based on affiliate marketing with some of the largest stores like Wal-Mart, Amazon, Ebay, Target and Barnes and Noble. We currently have agreements with over 1300 onliine retailers and are rapidly expanding world-wide, recently into the UK and Australia and already have new agreements with retailers and non-profits in each of these places. Right now we are also working on expanding into Africa as well.
It is really a powerful way for these organizations to raise needed funds, All they have to do is sign up with our program, there is even a FREE option, promote it out to their supporters to get them to shop through the mall, which is unique to every organization, and the non-profit gets a commission on every sale made through their mall, based on the affiliate agreement that OurGV has with that particular retailer. And yes, When a new person or organization joins our program the person that introduced them also has a chance to profit not only on those sales but on the growth of the entire company through the profit sharing system. So as more customers sign up the retailers get more traffic, the customers get great deals and the abililty to suppport their favorite charity, the non-profits raise more needed funds and the affiliates earn commisions on purchases and the growth of the entire company. It is truly a win-win-win for everyone involved.
Sorry to rant Alex, but this idea as you can tell is near and dear to me.

Ourgv-Where your shopping makes a difference!
    Peace and best success,
