I just listened to the replay and was excited to hear Marci’s comment about the most important advice her father gave her about life “honey, just be happy”! It reminds me about a time when I was leading a non-profit organization 15 years ago. The mother of one of my students, a 5th grader, encouraged her daughter to ask me what I wanted to be when I ‘grew up’. I answered truthfully, “I just want to be happy.” The mother and daughter were both surprised by my response. You see they were accustomed to my energy and drive. So they were puzzled that I did not answer with a position or title or economic standing (i.e. doctor, lawyer, rich). The moral - perhaps we ought to consider focusing less on asking our youth ‘what do they want to be when they grow up’ and instead ask them ‘what do they want to experience in life’—encourage them to explore the abundance that is available to them. Maybe this will encourage more people to learn early on how to find their passion, pursue it and prosper versus finding the best job possible to simply exist in the world.
Alex - Thanks for facilitating the sharing of these inspirational messages.
Thank you Alex for a great listen! Marci is wonderfully inspiring and her message so simple that everyone can implement in their lives. Thanks for having the replay up and available for the latecomers!
Warm Regards,

Great interview Alex.
This book should be on everyone’s must read right now list.
The concepts Marci outlines;
- Happiness first and the rest follows
- Happiness, the often missed key to “The Secret”
- Happiness based on thought habits you can change
. . . are very powerful.
What I like is that the book is so much more than information, it contains the methods and tools so you can actually take action for yourself.
So many books are just more information we can’t figure out how to use - not this one. It is truly a self-help book.
Rather than seeking happiness from outside things and situations, build one of the key foundations to a great life - happiness.
Great interview. Happy for no reason is my way of being.
I’m also excited that you’re intrviewing my mentor Glenn Dietzel soon!
Alex, you do a great interview.

This is really a great interview. Truly inspirational. I have found happiness from the inside out and I have learned not to let things going on in the world get me down. I have found that Eli Davidson’s book Funky to Fabulous has helped me a lot. I visit her website, http://www.elidavidson.com a lot and I find her advice very inspirational.
