Blog Your Book…
By Cathy Perkins on May 26, 2008

…or your book idea or your information product!

If you are an author (or Infopreneur) with a published book, book idea or forthcoming info product launch, then you need to “blog” about it.

If you are a published author, blog from your book. Remember, Alex says you don’t make money writing your book, you make money explaining your book.

If you are an author with an idea for a book, blog about your book. Start creating buzz about it before it’s even published. AND - ask your readers for their ideas and opinions.

You never know what you might hear :-)

You will learn a whole lot more about this blogging strategy on this year’s Virtual Book Tour Systems with Alex Mandossian. Watch for an announcement about the preview call on June 5th.

Because of the power of blogging, if you are an author, or an author-to-be, and you DON’T have a blog for and about your book, you are quite simply stealing from yourself and others, not to mention leaving money on the virtual table…

    Hey Alex,

I have 10 books published and use a blog right at Amazon.com to make entries. It’s pretty cool, and I do think it’s helped my sales.

Now, if I could only find the time to be consistent.

    Thank you for that reminder!

I think this an excellent idea and have been using my blog to put “excerpts” from my book. However, I like the idea of using my blog to “explain” my books and will begin to do so immediately!

    Thanks for the tip!

I love it when authors maintain a blog (and update it often). Its a way of inviting others to be a part of ‘the journey’! Cheers to blogging.

I have a forthcoming book related to my life’s work as a martial artist and my business at American Martial Arts Academy. I began blogging about it about a month ago. I’m told that it takes time to build up the traffic, so toward that end I’m doing my best to blog about it daily. Any further suggestions about building excitement for a forthcoming book and a related blog?

Brad - I have many ideas. Visit other blogs about Martial Arts and leave comments. Your name will be a clickable link.

Write articles that send readers to your blog.

Tweet about your posts. Easy to get a Twitter account.

Create a Facebook group about your book.

These are just a few tips. There are many, many more - too numerous to write about here.

Join me at my free weekly teleseminar, The Wizard Weekly. We always incorporate traffic tips into each call.
