    Dear Alex,

You ROCK! You are absolutely fantastic!
Thank you for sharing this unbelievably invaluable advice
to all those authors out there floundering around with their
book, hoping to sell a few books on Amazon.

    repeat after me:

    I AM THE MESSAGE
    I AM THE MESSAGE
    I AM THE MESSAGE

Be Bart Simpson on that blackboard and write it out 100 times,
…and those of us who take these words to work will start to add zeros to our income.

You have given me and thousands of others hope out there because of one simple concept: repurposing!
I have never been more excited about such a simple concept.

Keep up the fantastic work, Alex! You are the light and inspiration to so many of us self-published, swimming in the primordial soup out there!

    With much ongoing gratitude,

    Alex,

This list of 21 repurposing tips is an invaluable tool. As a relative newbie on the internet, I find your logical and enthusiastic approach to expanding an information empire most inspiring.

I have been implementing some of your tips on a small scale but will be adding on several more having just finished your fantastic Podcasting Secrets 2008 course.

Thanks for all of your fantastic content. You makes us all live your verb…improve!

    Hi Alex,

Just your brief video about repurposing should move anyone with a book (or thinking of writing one) to move aggressively forward in their marketing strategies.

When I got the rights back to “How To Take No For An Answer And Still Succeed,” I digitized it. I’ve sold far more books, with extra bonuses than were ever sold at seminars or by the original publisher.

The book was originally written for sales and marketing people. Now I’ve got mothers telling me that they used the “Magic Bean” section to help train their kids! Internet marketers are using it to increase sales. Insurance, mortgage, real estate and MLM sales reps use it to increase their retention and sales rates.

I wrote a special report titled “The Power Of NO,” which has stimulated many more people to be added to my opt-in list.

But I realize that I’m missing more boats after seeing just your brief video on repurposing today.

    Great stuff, Alex.

    Much appreciation,

    Tom Justin

    Alex,

We share a similiar background in the Infomercial Industry, no I don’t gizmos and gadgets, I do Intellectual Property, “We’ll make you rich by morning”.

In any event, nice piece on Re-Purposing, but I can t for the life of me figure out how to pull down the PDF file?

    All the best,

Seeing you in video and listening to you in audio adds strength to the message. The fact that many New
York Times bestseller authors are using this method proves to me this is a fantastic concept. Well done Alex!

    Alex,

I love your idea of including an actual portable media player with their content pre-loaded. Would you be willing to share with me where I can get these portable media players? Can I get them pre=loaded with my content? Who do you use for your packaging w/ that? I like the little box you showed in the video.

    Thanks,

I’m so thankful I studied with Alex before I approached any agents for two book proposals in the works. By learning concrete tips from Alex before these proposals were finished, I’ve been able to incorporate marketing strategies and viable ideas that will make these not-completely-written books a success before the proposals are even accepted by traditional publishers. Thanks so much for all that you share and teach and for making marketing suggestions and repurposing seem obvious in what we, as writers and speakers, should be doing.

Thank you for reminding me how to repurpose all the work I have already done just by changing the media!

At last, someone with the right know-how and experience popping up at the right time.

Great pieces of real world experience that works Alex. Just the way I like them. Your VBT Systems most certainly have lots to offer.

I am about to release my own series of books the “Ten Pillars of Wealth” from my site, one at a time. Your repurposing ideas are certainly most appropriate at this time. I just love the energy here…ask and you receive?

These pieces of gems you’ve offered as freebies are already by themselves already so valuable to those that see it. You say add another zero…it may become two or 3 zeroes in fact.

Like I said, thank you very much as I am in the process of my prelaunch and they are all little gems for true wealth building.

    Alex,

As always, 10 minutes with you is worth a fortune. Thanks so much for drawing attention to this very simply idea of “re-purposing”.

Sure, re-purposing is a way to make bunches of money. But it’s also a unique way to serve your customers “where they are” and “how they learn best”. He how serves the most profits the greatest.

    Thanks again,

    Alex,

As you have taught me and thousands others, I have indeed found REPURPOSING to be one of the KEY methods to AMPLIFY the product stream from my early-stage start-up information company, and thus AMPLIFY either my reach or my revenue or both.

Here is, for example, what I’ve done for my upcoming Virtual Book Tour featuring Moshe Waldoks, the co-editor of THE BIG BOOK OF JEWISH HUMOR (check it out at AskMosheWaldoks.com). Aside from the book itself, I had no other material to work with in creating the campaign. So I (a) recorded my guest telling a few great jokes, and made this into a bonus item, (b) transcribed some of the jokes and added them to the invitation/landing page, (c) turned an article into an eBook, (d) recorded and transcribed three short interviews he did for me on this topic of Jewish humor with a sociologist, a comedian, and his other co-editor, and the list goes on and on.

Where did I learn all of this? Of course, in the last year’s VBT course! So check out at AskMosheWaldoks.com one of the results of Alex’ outstanding teaching AND outstanding process.

P.S. If you want to see another example of a Teleseminar I just did on Discovering Your Personal Mission Statement, check it out at AskSimonJacobson.com.

    Thanks, Alex!

I was able to listen to some of your tele-call the other day and your inspiring thoughts on repurposing just confirmed what I was already thinking: I don’t need to work so hard! I look forward to receiving the full list of repurposing ideas.

    Thanks again.

    You make it look simple.

Next time, maybe make your shirt and your chair different colors because my first impression was that the chair was swallowing you up. So it took me away from your message. It could be my screen settings but you wanted comments and that is mine.

    Hi, Alex,

There you are again in all your greatness and wisdom, encouraging us to multiply and be fruitful.

    I love your work.

Thank you for all you do in supporting us.

Thanks for the tips; I’m always looking for new ways to repurpose my material.

I’ve recently released a home study course “Save $100s in Taxes with a Home Office Deduction” that’s based on material I developed for my volunteer teaching at a local not-for-profit.

Hi Alex, your ideas are terrific and I love the whole notion of repurposing, but all of your examples are nonfiction/how-to genre books which naturally lead to repurposing ideas. Do you have any thoughts on how a fiction author might repurpose their work? I know we can help sell our work through free videos, excerpts, and talks, but how might we actually repurpose a novel or aspects of a novel into an alternative, but related, item for sale? I suppose ebooks and audio books are one way, but I’d love your thoughts on other, outside the box, ideas on how to capitalise on fiction (or creative nonfiction like memoirs, or poetry). Thanks! Maggie

I thought the video was great. Good solid information to get people interested. For me it was just the right amount of enthusiasm to let me know you were excited about what you’re doing without being overly bombastics or annoyingly over zealous. I look forward to the 2-hour call tomorrow!

Hi Alex, Wow and Wow again. I’m just starting out on the net, and finding you thankfully because of “bobtheteacher” is really super and timely. Repurposing so many ways I hadn’t thought of is terrific. Thanks so much for sharing. Bob was right on sending me to you. I’ll keep coming back to watch what’s next on Alex TV, and what a super site you have to engage us all.

It’s a pleasure to be here.

Interesting article Alex. This concept holds true for fundamental service offerings as well. As an example I started a service for music lovers and ended up doing more work for infopreneurs preparing their CD content for distribution on MP4/MP3 players. I have indirectly done work for you, Mark Victor Hansen, Than Merril, and Peak Potentials Training.

    Thanks for the interesting video.

Great video, Alex. The small paycheck author’s get per book is why I was so excited about VBTS last year and why I’m still excited about it. You are changing the industry.

    Hi Alex,

I am still fairly new to online marketing and am just about to launch my first affiliate programme so finding you has just come at the right time for me - I guess tha law of attraction neve fails!

I have learned such a lot just from watching this one video and will now give far more thought to how to package my training calls, blog series and case-studies etc

I hope we can meet some time or at least have a chat as I feel ready to move my fledgling business on to the next level.

    Kind regards,

Barbara Drucker Smith, Louraine Publishing, and Hip,Hip, Hypnotherapy, author of Darling Loraine, the Story of A. Louis Drucker A Grateful Jewish Immigrant: Prose from the Old Century to the New(Vignettes, Petite Petites, Epistles, Points of Vioew), and A Poetic Journey.
I have found for Louraine Publishing and Hip, Hip, Hypnotherapy that repurposing is a great idea. I published Darling Loraine to sell at a four weekend folk opera that I acted in and had written many stories that were in the performance. So many copies were sold I had to publish more. I cut a piano CD Barbarina in which I played improvisations with a classicasl new age bent and they are available at the Mariners Museum in Newport News, VA. The CD repurposing can be background music for Hypnotherapy sessions. The books can be found on googlebooks.com, googlebookmarks and at xlibris.com in the bookstore. My e-mail is barbaradsmith@cox.net. You can also google Barbara Drucker Smith.

Alex, I was amazed to find this when I googled A. Louis Drucker and Drucker & Falk. You sure do repurpose and I am so fortunate to be a part of it all. I have gained so much from the Virtual Book Tour sessions. Thank You. Barbara Drucker Smith
