Rediscover the Adwords Learning Center

By Alex Mandossian on April 21, 2009

adwords-logoIt’s no secret that Google Adwords can become a fast, easy and predictable way to attract targeted website traffic.

Like most marketing strategies, setting up an Adwords account is simple, but not so easy to master. That’s why I recommend you visit Google’s Learning Center.

In my experience, it is hands-down the single most cost-effective way to learn Adwords marketing strategies.

Click here to visit the Learning Center and you’ll find these 9 Modules:

1.  Introduction to AdWords
2.  Getting Started with AdWords
3.  Targeting
4.  Costs and Billing
5.  Tracking Ad Performance
6.  Optimizing Ad Performance
7.  The AdWords Toolbox
8.  Google Analytics
9.  Managing Client Accounts

You can count on the efficacy of what you learn because Google has self-serving reasons for you to succeed.

Think about it.  The more successful you are at generating Adwords traffic, the more money you’ll spend buying Adwords.  The more money you spend buying Adwords traffic, the more revenue Google makes.  It’s a win-win.

What To Do Now: I recommend you review ONE MODULE per day.  It will take you about an hour per day and Google even provides Quizes for each lesson to track your progress.

If you’re like most people,  and in less than 2 weeks you’ll discover time-tested Adwords strategies that can double, triple and even quadruple your website traffic practically overnight!

  1. “If you’re an AdWords advertiser, Google Advertising Professional, or just interested in learning more about AdWords, you can use Google’s free training to sharpen your AdWords knowledge.

Google offers both multimedia and text lessons to match your preferred learning style. While lessons are organized to build upon previous ones, you can skip between topics and take them in any way you like. After each lesson, test your knowledge by taking a quiz.”

Those aren’t my words. Those are Google’s words at their Adwords Learning Center. Go there now to learn more and get started.

If you’re an Internet Marketing veteran, I encourage you to rediscover Google’s Learning Center and approach the lessons they reveal with a “beginner’s mind.”

    To your success,

    ~ Alex

  2. Using Google Adwords has helped me to do market research on my topics, as well as to sell affiliate products quickly. Google is an excellent company, and their Learning Center makes Adwords much easier to understand. Alex, thanks for letting people know about this valuable resource.

  3. I’ve been looking for ways to send more visitors to my web site. I didn’t realize that Google had this Learning Center available – I’m going to start learning more about Adwords this afternoon.

Alex – do you have experience using Adwords to attract Business Prospects (I work in the B-to-B world)?

Looking forward to creating another Win-Win.

  4. I appreciate that you told us about this tutorial reference. It’s good to know that I can have a refresher any time I need it. So much to know and remember!

  5. Steve,

Frankly, my experience has shown me that Adwords work best with B2C, but if you have a book coming up in the future, I recommend testing the title like MaryEllen Tribby did with “Changing the Channel” and Timothy Ferriss did with “The 4-Hour Work Week.”

Perry Marshall is one of the best Google Adwords teachers, as well as Simon Leung, who used to work at Google. Look them up and inquire with them, ok?

    Thanks for commenting,

    ~ Alex

Can you elaborate on what you mean when you say “but if you have a book coming up in the future, I recommend testing the title like MaryEllen Tribby”. What do you mean by testing the title in Adwords? Do you mean checking popularity or doing a PPC campaign? Thanks in advance for your explanation.

  8. The backend of this page must be great to get you to the first page of google, organically under Google adwords learning center.
    Seeing is believing!

    Hi Alex,

I have been a top end search marketer in India. And have lead large teams too.

In my tenure, while the Google Adwords gives you the needed knowledge, it does not convert the knowledge into SKILL. A skill that one is sure of.

Only when an individual has an opportunity to APPLY the knowledge, the SKILL gets acquired. That is done through a LIVE project implementation experience.

And that is what is GutsGo is doing.

    Good Speed!

  10. Hi
