The little voice is still strong in me...but the audio "Little Voice Mastery" had at least told me of its presence so I no longer pretend its not a part of me. Of course, attending Blair's seminars also reinforced them, so while the voice is strong, I recognized the need to stop it, and thank it for sharing. That realli helped me move forward.

Thanks for the share, Alex.

Larry,

Identifying "gremlins" as you call it, is half the battle. Knowing what you don't want is often easier than "knowing what you want." Calling out gremlins inside isn't self-deprecating as some would think, in my experience it's liberating.

Great observations and great post, so thanks for dropping by.

Great article Alex. A lot of coaches call this inner voice the "gremlin" and have specific techniques to help people move past it. In fact working with gremlins is a core part of the training I've gone through at iPEC Coaching.

The hard part is really identify where in your life your gremlin is showing up and how it is showing up. It's very easy for people to say they've conquered it. However, it often takes only a short while in conversation with an experieced coach to hear the gremlin rear it's head. Even then, the person being coached doesn't realize it until the coach verifies what the client said and then explains where the gremlin showed up.

One you identify the gremlin you need to embrace it as a part of you, and then you can begin the process of getting rid of it. Be careful of just simply trying to replace the "little voice" with a voice of affirmations. While affirmations will help, you need to be careful that your not supressing the gremlin. The idea is lessen it's impact, not cage inside ofyou. That's denial.

I call my "little voice" my "inner critic" and he's been pretty active lately. When I have the presence of mind to realize that he is not me, sometimes that is enough to get unhooked.
Being mindful, and observing it as a 3rd person helps a lot. Daily listening to specific guided meditation CDs shores up the voice of "inner wisdom" so it runs in the background instead of the little voice. Journaling my strengths and being grateful for all the wonderful things that happened in a day is a huge help. I affirm what is working instead of looking at all that remains to be done. Sometimes when I still have trouble unhooking emotionally from the grips of the "inner critic" I journal all the things it says. Then I write from the voice of the "inner wise guide" who sheds light on the truth, and fills me with real love. Then I can get grounded and take effective action. I have to get the transformation on a gut level, not just a head level.

Here's another tool to use along side Blair Singer’s book. Produced with a female soothing voice, it helps quiet the mind chatter: "Journey into Wholeness: A guided meditation CD to access divine guidance for success, prosperity and health." Listen to an audio sample in the lower left column at www.EspositoInstitute.com.

By far this little voice concept is the best I have seen in any training session. I am enjoying the book (and bookinars) and on my second read already. Thanks Alex and Thank you Blair for giving your time to this great book, a book that will be on many shelves for years to come.

I've seen Blair several times when I was building my Amway/Quixstar business in the late 90's before I lost my group when they went online.
HE IS AN AWESOME COMMUNICATOR AND A NICE GUY.
I was pretty good at "old school" methods of building a network but had to start all over with this online thing.
So when that happened in about 2002 or so boy did my little voice go on tilt. It became a BIG VOICE saying hey Nicholas you skipped your computer College classes in the late 70's and now you may have to reinvent yourself using that same technology.
Wow really tough for me because I was soon going to be 50 years old and had been tossed out of the "good" job market.
Apparently 50 (I'm 54 now) means you are an old man with many employers even though I am more fit than most 30 year olds physically and mentally.
So long story short all of the 2000 decade I struggled with my "little voice".....but I kept going because I took good info daily and fed my head.Every morning and I still do that.
So we did what we had to...parked our car 3 years ago (that was tough since I had a car at 17) , down sized all monthly payouts, took our savings and bought courses about IM.
 That was in 2006.
Then I started to apply what I learned.. then in 2008, set up my 1st blog 1 year ago, 2nd blog 2 months ago and built my spiders out attaching my blogs to social networks, did article marketing, now videos, many forms of marketing.
Little voice still talking to me. I needed a part time job but nothing available that was not slave labour.
I built no particular business but made $ selling "picks and shovels" for the internet gold rush.
I picked a business Oct. of 2009 that I love to do and it makes me money weekly now.
I have also just picked a networking opportunity since I now know how to market and lead folks to duplicate what we do.
New folks may read this and think that doesn't sound too bad Nicholas..but what I already knew from my Amway experience and verifY it now weekly is that....
MOST PEOPLE LET THE LITTLE VOICE WIN!
I simply will not let that happen because my kds are watching. I do this for my dreams which are still alive at 54 but my biggest dream is to show my kids that they don't have to work for some meat heads that control their time, tell them when to eat lunch, when to have a break, how many hoidays they can have.....etc.
 You get the point.
So yes Alex YOU MUST CONTROL THAT LITTLE VOICE..IT'S ONLY THE MOST IMPORTANT THING i'VE EVER DONE"
