How To Eliminate Messes And Become More Productive

How do you boost productivity with cleaning up messes? It doesn’t matter what you do or who you are, chances are you have messes in your life right now. Look in your garage, look under your sink, look in your child’s bedroom—there’s usually a mess there. I have three tips on how to eliminate messes. By eliminating messes, by making your home or office less cluttered, it allows you to become a more productive person. You’ll be able to get more done faster, better, and easier. Here are the three tips:

Tip Number 1: Chunk down your messes into smaller, manageable groups. I’ll give you an example. Let’s say I have 50 objects on my garage floor, and I want to chunk those down into manageable groups. I don’t try to get rid of all 50 at the same time. Instead, I’ll find five boxes and [Read more…]

Generate More Leads By Increasing Social Sharing

A recent article featured on by author Ann Handley illustrates how businesses can generate more leads simply by increasing the ability and ease for users to share content across their social networks. I believe the advice given in the article can be extremely helpful to businesses regardless of their size, age, and target audience. Here are a few blurbs from the article that I want to point out to you:

“Because a clear way to generate and nurture leads is to create content: a blog and maybe an e-book and a Twitter stream and so on. But it’s pointless (and lonely!) to write a blog that gets no visitors and zero comments–and, consequently, affords no traction for your lead-gen efforts. Websites that facilitate sharing generate seven times more mentions online than those that don’t” (Source).

In her article, Ann Handley uses a few recent studies to point out how powerful social share buttons can be, in relation to lead generation, when effectively placed on [Read more…]

Website Conversion Secrets

These are the three most important questions I’ve asked myself about website conversion. Conversion is having people come to your site and converting them into prospects and eventually converting them into customers, and ultimately into evangelists.

1. What do I want my first-time visitors to do first?
2. What do I want my return visitors to do first?
3. How do you keep people coming back?

To understand each question fully, please take a few minutes to watch the video below:

Attend The Ultimate Membership Site Seminar

Former Beatle, Paul McCartney once said to John Lennon before writing a new song: “Let’s write a swimming pool!”

What he meant is that any talented song artist can easily generate enough money to build a swimming pool, a car, a dream vacation, or just about anything they want.

What if you could do the same online? That’s why I want you to accept this [Read more…]

Boost Productivity with Writing Sales Copy

Sales copy writing is different than literary copy because literary copy changes minds where as sales copy changes a mind as well as changes behavior.

The Power of ‘Thank You’ In Business

“A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all other virtues.” — Marcus Tullius Cicero

When was the last time you thanked one of your customers? I was just reading a great article on about the importance and power of saying “thank you” in business. Here is a brief excerpt:

“Study after study reveals that when you say “Thank you” to your customers, they both spend more money and tell their friends about the exceptional service and products you deliver, increasing your profits. Volumes chronicle how employee productivity zooms when appreciation is expressed, raising your margins. Vendors go the extra mile to extend credit and deliver “just in time” when they hear gratitude regularly, not just in November, and keep your cash flowing” (Source).

Later in the article, the author illustrates a few tips you can use to get better at saying [Read more…]

5 Ways To Get Better At Meeting Deadlines

How are you at meeting deadlines? If you’re looking to improve, I have some great tips that will help you. I was recently reading through an informative list of 101 Common-Sense Rules for Leaders on, and came across ten tips on meeting deadlines that you could benefit from reading through. Here are five of the tips:

Meeting Deadlines Tip #1: “Only promise what you can realistically deliver. Don’t create deadlines that you know you can’t meet. By only promising what you know you can do, you’ll be able to finish on time.”

Meeting Deadlines Tip #2: “Set clear goals. Once you know what you need to accomplish, it helps to know how and when you want to do it. Put your goals down on paper and make sure everyone on [Read more…]
