Blogging and Tweeting – A Natural Combination

TwitterYou have your WordPress blog – don’t you?  If not, you should.  Now let’s hook up your blog to Twitter.  What’s Twitter, you ask?

Tweets are short little posts commenting on what you are doing right now. The key to using Twitter effectively is participation. You must listen as well as speak. The more you listen and respond, the more people will ‘follow you’.

When you tweet, your message is broadcast to everyone who is following you.  If your ‘tweet’ is interesting, your followers will want to see what you are all about and will click over to your blog and have the opportunity to opt-in.

The more you interact, the more people will interact with you. So, go over to Twitter and set up an account. Search for people you know and start following them. Start ‘tweeting’ and watch what happens!

NOW let’s connect your blog and Twitter.  Get the WordPress plugin TwitterTools.  This plugin allows you to create a tweet from every new blog post – automagically!

Want to know the real secret?  Don’t stop at Twitter Tools.  Go back to Twitter later and tweet about your blog post.  Double the value of Twitter Tools AND your blog.

Write Your Blog Posts by Repurposing

Watch, Book, and GlassesIf you think you don’t have enough ideas to post to your blog regularly, please read on …

If you have done teleseminars, written articles, done podcasts, written a book or an e-book, or are thinking of writing a book, then you have so many blog posts you won’t know where to start!

A 60 minute teleseminar has the potential for dozens of blog posts.  Your book or book idea is too many blog posts to count. And one 7 tips article is perfect for 7 (or more) blog posts.

Look at EVERYTHING you’ve already done and repurpose your own material into your blog posts.

The opposite of that works too.  If you have a lot of blog posts already, repurpose them into other products.  Your only limitation is your imagination.

Do You ‘Tweet’ For Your Business?

TwitterDo you ‘tweet’ for your business? If you don’t you should. Twitter has really caught on as a traffic builder.

Tweets are short little posts commenting on what you are doing right now. The key to using Twitter effectively is participation. You must listen as well as speak. The more you listen and respond, the more people will ‘follow you’.

When you tweet, your message is broadcast to everyone who is following you.  If your ‘tweet’ is interesting, your followers will want to see what you are all about and will click over to your blog.

Write a new blog post? Tweet about it. Launching a new product? Tweet about it. Working on a new project? Tweet about it.

The more you interact, the more people will interact with you. So, go over to Twitter and set up an account. Search for people you know and start following them. Start ‘tweeting’ and watch what happens!

Blog Your Book…

…or your book idea or your information product!

If you are an author (or Infopreneur) with a published book, book idea or forthcoming info product launch, then you need to “blog” about it.

If you are a published author, blog from your book. Remember, Alex says you don’t make money writing your book, you make money explaining your book.

If you are an author with an idea for a book, blog about your book. Start creating buzz about it before it’s even published. AND – ask your readers for their ideas and opinions.

You never know what you might hear :-)

You will learn a whole lot more about this blogging strategy on this year’s Virtual Book Tour Systems with Alex Mandossian. Watch for an announcement about the preview call on June 5th.
