TWITTER: No One Cares?

By Jeff Herring on January 5, 2010

Nobody CaresCould it be true? Nobody cares about what you “tweet” about on Twitter?

Yes, it could be true.

IF you are just blathering uninteresting stuff about your life and not interacting with anyone.

IF you are DMing people with your latest “Mafia Wars” news (do you even HAVE a life?) or giving someone a gift of “Corona” and demanding a gift back (truly bad form).

It’s sad too, because your could be using your Twitter platform to make a difference in the lives of those who want and need to learn from you.

So then the question becomes “Just what do we tweet about then, Jeff?”

I’m glad you asked. I’ve got a new article all about what to tweet about. Here’s a hint: It’s all about tweeting about LIFE!

Click here to give it a read. The article will pop up in a new window. After you read it, I would like for you to do at least 3 things:

1) Click on the links in the Resource Box so you can get our FREE 4 Part Video Training Series from The Social Marketing Blueprint

2) Leave your comments here on Alex’s blog (gets you a backlink from a top rated blog, and you get to join in the conversation)

3) Go Use This Stuff!

Create More Traffic with Articles

By Jeff Herring on May 12, 2009

ezinearticles.com, article marketing

Article Marketing is the best free way to drive traffic to your web sites and blogs. And when you use the five steps below, you will know what topics to write more about to drive even more traffic.

Step 1: Log into your EzineArticles.com account

In your EzineArticles account you can use the feedback on your articles to let you know what your readers want more of. Once you know this you can write more articles on those topics to drive more traffic.

Step 2: Click on “Author Tools”

It’s in between Profile Manager and Author Resources. Click on “Author Tools”. You’re going to get a drop-down menu.

Step 3: Click on “View My Article Reports”

When you click on “View My Article Reports”, you can see the Article ID, Article Title, Views, URL Clicks, EzinePublisher, Comments, Votes, Rating, and Publication Date. What you want to pay attention to – the things that turn into money – are the Views and the URL Clicks.

Step 4: “Read the street”

“Read the street” means (more…)

7 Reasons to Repurpose Twitter Articles

By Jeff Herring on February 26, 2009

twitter, article marketing, social article marketing, jeff herringIf you are into Article Marketing and are not using Twitter to repurpose your articles, you are missing out on a flood of good stuff.

With that notion in mind, here are the Top 7 Reasons to Repurpose Your Articles on Twitter

1. Extends Your Reach – Extending your reach means to get your marketing message and influence in front of as many eyes as possible. When you publicize your articles on Twitter, you are not only reaching those who are following you, you are also reaching everyone that follows each person who follows you – your reach rapidly multiplies.

2. It’s Helpful – When you are having conversations there and you see a question where one of your articles could help, you are being very helpful to someone when you refer them to you article(s). How’s that for upping the “know, like and trust” factor.

3. Ups Your Expert Status – Mentioning your articles and using them to answer questions increases your (more…)

Your 4 Sources of Article Traffic

By Jeff Herring on February 10, 2009

Article Marketing allows you to create 4 different types of traffic when you submit your articles to Article Directories like EzineArticles.

1. Immediate Traffic

Every time you submit a new article to EzineArticles, you get the benefit of immediate traffic. It’s a fresh article and people are jumping all over it.

What you have at your fingertips with putting out an article is a powerful traffic generation tool. That’s where you get your immediate boost, with new articles, especially once you’ve developed a following. If people want to hear more from you, they’re going to be looking for your articles.

2. Regular, consistent traffic

Think of it this way. Each article – even if you’ve got an article that maybe only gets five new viewers per day, and then you stack another article on top of it that gets five new viewers a day, and then another article and then another article and then another article – and let’s say you’ve got 50 of those articles out there getting five new visitors a day.

That’s 250 new visitors a (more…)

Do You Make These 3 “Resource Box” Mistakes?

By Jeff Herring on January 15, 2009

article-writing-pencils.jpgI see many people get into article marketing, write some good articles, and then blow the whole thing in the resource box.

So let’s take a look at three of the deadliest prospect and profit killing mistakes people make, and then what to do instead.

Mistake #1 – Making the Resource Box All About You – This one is really easy to do, especially since the resource box is also called the bio box. Many people tell the reader all about themselves.

I’ve actually seen a resource box that was almost as long as the article, filled with just about every award the author had won going back to grade school.

Sorry, but the reader is not (more…)

Prospect Pulling Power Utilizing Teleseminars

By Jeff Herring on November 29, 2008

write_110.jpgLet’s take a look at the powerful combination of article marketing and teleseminars, and the time your average prospect spends on each.

Web Page = 30 seconds.

When somebody comes to your website, that’s about all you have to get them involved in some way, and I’m being very, very generous when I say 30 seconds. Some studies say only 7 seconds.

Think about all the work that goes into a website, and you’re doing all that work for 30 seconds.

That’s a lot of work for 30 seconds.

Article = 5 minutes

One of the reasons why article marketing is so powerful is (more…)
