“An Hour a day Keeps the Poverty Away”…Many years ago a Wealthy mentor I met told me this. I was at the Barbershop on East 7mi. Rd. in Detroit, 1968.
As a Teenager, I kinda crooked my head and raised a eyebrow like “Spock” and asked what he ment by that, “an Hour doing What?”
He replied with One Word: Reading! “Read what?”, I replied. He proceded to spit out authors names I had never heard of. (Detroit Public schools mostly taught..”How to be a factory Worker”) Nearly 40 years later I find myself reading/(Listening) to authors daily…Just for the JOY of it!
This auditory learning tool, VBT and others like it, allow me to digest new/old materials on MY Terms! Love It!
