What’s your “Speed of Trust?”
By Alex Mandossian on February 7, 2008

Stephen M. R. CoveyRecommended: I’ve read over 2,300 books in my life thus far and one of the top 5 that I recommend most is Stephen M.R. Covey’s Speed of Trust

Click here to get 3 soft-cover copies from Amazon … one for yourself, one for a friend or colleague and one for someone whom you don’t trust.  That’s how important this book is.

“As you go to work, your top responsibility should be to build trust,” says Robert Eckert, CEO or Mattel.  I couldn’t agree with him more because in today’s over-promoted, over-communicated and over-advertised market place, “trust” seems to be “the one thing that changes everything.”  (That’s the promise of this remarkable book).

When you receive your copies, break open the box and check out the single insight in the Summary Box on page 171 … because it’s worth one hundred times your investment.

If you’re an information marketer, this book is a must-read!  If you want to listen to my 65-minute “Virtual Book Tour” with Stephen M.R. Covey, then type in “Speed of Trust” in the Search this site field on this blog.

Real live people do business (spend money) with those they “know, like and trust.”

In my experiene trust is the leader of the three attributes above. I may know and even like someone in some ways, but if I do not trust them, if they are not predictable, then I am not investing my money or my time.

Alex, I like the way you referenced your search function in referring the reader to the VBT with Covey - nice blog strategy.

    Alex

Couldn’t agree more with you about trust.

Considering how long we as Internet Marketers have been banging on about establishing trust and credibility in all our copy, it surprises me that people still don’t get it.

    Maybe one day …

    Cheers

    Nick :)

Trust is the key ingrediant in any relationship. For business people in todays fast paced world establishing trust quickly and deeply is critical to their success. Mr. Covey is right on target in his book as you are for recommending it. Thanks.

Trust is crucial in todays online world of e-commerce and personal interaction. When you trust someone, there’s no other choice but to do business with them.

In our online experience selling electronic medical record software to doctors, we’ve learned quickly that its important to build and establish trust and rapport with doctors and others in the medical community.

    Thanks for recommending this book!

Stephen M.R. Covey’s is a great motivator with his words. I have not had a chance to read this one. I was wondering if the 2300 book total is a guess of a roundabout number. Or if you really have an account of the books you have read in your lifetime. http://hotcookies.net the incredible marketing tool.

Trust is the cornerstone of everything in life… without trust, there is nothing of any substance or true value. I enjoy Covey’s work… and I look forward to this one! Thanks for the recommendation.

I was wondering the same thing as John,

Also, WHAT ARE THE TOP 5 BOOKS you recommend?

    Hey Alex,

I agree. Trust is key. No body will make the buying decision without it (low or no conversion).

You won’t create raving fans (repeat business), and you won’t get referrals (a thriving business).

Thanks for the “referral”. I’m going to check it out.

Um….that is a very serious question. In these days, trust is based on both sides, take my boss of Mexico, after communication,I know he is a trustman,so is the same feeling of him to me.And now we work together, and bulid the company,we work in different country, but we have the same dream…..That is amazing!!!

    Hello,

I’m not much of a book reader but I admire people who does. 2300 books.. nice..

Trust, is the foundation of everything, Its crucial though because it establishes the relationship, once it is lost then there’s little chance you can get it back.. credibility is after all very important!!
