Why An Article-A-Day Keeps The Recession Away
Article marketing has recession-proofed my online businesses. I know that is a big claim, and lots of people are talking about how to recession-proof your business right now.
Read on to discover how to really do it with Article Marketing and the article-a-day strategy. Here are 7 ways an article-a-day can recession-proof your business:
1. Extend your reach - I like to call my articles my “international evergreen article agents.”
My articles allow me to reach all over the world into many markets that I could not have reached in any other way. And they are evergreen, which means they are out there forever, delivering good information with links back to my websites and blogs.
For example, just one of my articles published online in August of 2005 still receives an average of 1500 unique views each month. And once you learn how to do it the right way, is is free.
2. Unlimited content - One of the things you must have on the internet is content, and lots of it. When you write an article a day, you create an unlimited stream of regular content.
While most online entrepreneurs are worried about where their next content is coming from, you are creating content everyday.
3. Repurposing - When you create an article a day, you have arrived in repurposing heaven. You can take just one article and turn it into multiple marketing messages such as a blog post, a teleseminar, ebooks, ecourses, and so much more. Repurposing leads to…
4. Even more content - Your content creation does not stop with your article creation. When you repurpose your articles into multiple marketing messages, you are creating even more content.
The more content you have, the greater web presence you can create. I’m getting ahead of myself though, because that is number five.
5. Create a massive web presence - When you have a storehouse of content and turn it into multiple marketing messages, you are then able to create a massive web presence.
What is the advantage of a massive web presence? Prospects find you everywhere, and you begin to be seen as the go-to-person in your niche. And remember this:
A massive web presence is not created in a day. A massive web presence is created a little bit everyday.
6. Ups your expert-ability - I define your “expert-ability” as your perceived expert status in the mind of your prospect. When you are creating article content just about everyday you will quickly be seen as an expert in your field.
Even better, you come to be seen as THE go-to-expert in your niche.
7. Rapid product creation - Another thing you need to be successful on the internet in any economy is many products, or what can be called an information empire.
As an article writer and article marketer, you have the keys to your own information empire kingdom. You can quickly repurpose your articles into teleseminars, ebooks, ecourse, DVDs, and many other information products.

Now it’s just the discipline of writing an article a day and not listen to my wimpering mind say “I don’t wanna!” lol!

Great post Alex,
Articles are beacons to home traffic, content to engage readers and build your credibility, and excellent listbuilding bait in my experience, as well as all the qualities you mention - hence why I outsource my artile creation and distribution these days - to PROVEN writers…
Enjoyed reading..
Thanks
Ray
These are great tips. I love writing but definitely have to get myself into the groove of doing it more consistently, which I’m working on.
Your article Jeff motivates me to do it!
Thanks for posting this Alex.
Much gratitude,
Gina
Jeff, Alex
This is an excellent post.
So true, keep doing a consistent action daily and you will get massive result.
Thanks

I agree about the articles. Thanks for your relentless enthusiasm, Jeff.
My trouble comes when trying to gauge what would be a good “value offer” when someone clicks in the resource box after reading an article.
What do they need in order to give me their email?

Life becomes very easy with advices like this!

Thanks for the ideas, Jeff!

Shaun - Here are my 3 rules for what to give away in your Resource Box to get prospects to click thru:
1. Your give away has to be good enough to be sold as a product
2. It needs to be related to the topic and promise of the article
3. It needs to be a sample of or in some way related to a product you are offering.
Annelies - “Life becomes very easy with advice like this” has got to be one of the best testimonials I have ever received…may I use it?
Great Post Jeff,
I’ve been reading your articles back since 2005 when I too joined ezinearticles to start writing and posting articles. Your writing and articles were good then. Your writing and articles are even better now. Like you do, I use article writing templates to boost and expand my production, write articles and keep steady posts flowing to my blog and websites. This continues to be a great tip for writers of virtually any genre.
Let’s both keep up the good work.

Brilliant post Jeff.
So many gurus tell you to write x number of articles everyday. Sometimes that’s not always possible so rather than do nothing then do at least as Jeff says, write one article a day.
It makes perfect sense.

Hi Jeff,
Great article! You hit the nail on the head when talking about all the different ways articles can be repurposed.
Too many entrepreneurs often think they need to recreate the wheel when they can simply browse through their harddrive for their next product or service idea.
Kudos!
Sandy :-)
thanx jeff, alex, great post certainly good enuf to tweet about which i just did! now it would behoove me to go take ACTION & write another article…. or as U say jeff “GUTS”
YES!
Good post Alex. All of them lead to flexibility, something necessary these days.
Great post.
This proves further that when we’re passionate about our topics, we can talk about or write about them effectively at will.
I wish I had discovered article marketing a lot sooner in my attempts at earning online.
I like the simplicity and the lack of hype in the process of consistent and daily action too.
Thanks
Jeff,
As always, great advice. Since I took your class, I have been writing articles as a cornerstone for my business. It has taken me back to my Journalism roots. How many people ever use their college degree?
Thanks much,
Amelia Brazell
Great post Alex,
I will probably file this under “Things I don’t want to do but absolutely need to do”. I especially love the the quote in the article about creating massive web presence “a little bit everyday.” It’s the thing that keeps the overwhelm at bay.
Inspiring post, Jeff! Thank you.
I especially enjoy your method of seeing articles from so many perspectives! This makes the time and energy involved in creating the daily article a very rich investment.
Another good article Jeff. I’m agreeing with everything you write and as I’m starting out an article a day is what I’ve been up to for the last 30 days - seeing results and loving it. Looking forward to learning from more of your articles.
All the best

Jeff,
Great article thanks for sharing. Articles have been very good to me as well. I like many of the points you bring up.
Thanks Again.
Jake
Excellent stuff. I was thinking that I should be writing an article a day but this confirms that I was on the right track. Thanks for sharing.
Let’s not forget that a lot of book publishers go looking for articles to choose who their next author will be.
Superb article…. my favorite part about article writing is the repackaging of this content. People are huge on e-books, and anything that delivers a valuable read, from which they can take this information and apply it immediately. Ebooks are great incentives to submit an email address.
