The 7 Most Important Tele-Interview Questions
My students, my colleagues and even my mentors often ask me, “What are the most important Teleseminar interview questions to “Ask” or be “Asked.”
My answer is revealed in this brief video…
So please grab your mouse, click the white arrow and I hope I can motivate and inspire you to take this year’s Teleseminar Secrets training.
The 7 questions revealed in the video come from two Davids and one Dan. The first four questions come from David Kolb. Questions 5 and 6 come from Dan Sullivan and question 7 comes from the teachings of David Allen.
I’ve never met David Kolb, but I do know Dan Sullivan and David Allen. This sort of lateral thinking can add an extra zero to your net worth, but you’ve got to take action and put these questions into all of the Tele-Interviews you do.

Alex,
After learning these questions from you as a “Teleseminar Secrets” student, I have applied them in all sorts of situations in which I have been tasked to help bring the best information an interviewee has to light, and shine it on his, her and my audience.
In addition, I’ve applied these question to my business coaching and consulting clients (whether entrepreneurs or small businesses) to help them focus in on how their business can be created or tweaked to best meet the needs of their customers, clients, patients, and event attendees.
Moreover, I’ve used them myself as part of every new project or product development process, to lay the foundation for creating something of great value to that project/product’s intended audience and ensuring that people will want to buy.
Perhaps others will be inspired to use these questions in this way, too.
As always, thanks for your phenomenal insights and mentoring!

hey, Alex, good stuff, thanks for the video. I’ve always written/taught that questions are THE most important tool (weapon?) in conversation, and it’s certainly true with teleseminars–they’re really conversations with a bit of strategy, right?
Highly recommend TSS to those who a haven’t been through yet–the masters course on teleseminars.

Thanks, Jeff.
Very much appreciate your feedback and recommendation. Feel free to repurpose the video any way you feel will serve you.

Jay,
Here we go again living into another year of Teleseminar Secrets can you believe it?!
Anyway, I’m looking forward to my 5th and best year ever with TSS and thanks for commenting and sharing.
All good wishes,

Alex,
You always share a wealth of information and knowledge in everything that you do. What we have learned with the above knowledge, we now use in our information and teaching.
As you are aware we are a very detailed couple and thought that we would share a Teleseminar Secrets Dynamic Knowledge Map based on last years course that can be accessed here at: http://TheCoolestCouple.com/cooltip3
We have removed all the links to the content (over 1800 pieces of information) and are currently only displaying the context of the course. But we hope that new students and alumni can see the value of managing this information and knowledge.
Thanks for all you do.

Hi Alex,
I’m new to your blog but I just want to say it seems like very sound stuff. I’ll be glad to stick around.
All the Q’s were valuable, but my favorite is the what if. The answer to that question is the best way to view the product and the possible results of its use as seen through the eyes of the product creator.
It struck me though if this question mightn’t tempt crossing the new FTC rules, turning the most eloquent and recently legally admonished Gurus into stuttering mumblers .
I don’t for a second think the FTC has the resources to actually police anything but the grossest transgressions. However, most lawyers, if asked, will interpret the law, not probable outcomes.
At least, it gave the innovative Jeff Walker a great new marketing platform as he “is forced to take down all his great training cases” for his Product Launch Formula because they were not “typical”. It seems to me this same line of thinking would also invalidate most of the business case studies in the Harvard Business Review.

Alex,
Thanks for the nudge to remind me it is time for http://www.teleseminarsecrets.com classes. This is a great class to take in the winter, when there isn’t much to do, and it becomes a fun way to spend a Monday night learning with friends.
The content of the course is great, the action guides, when properly followed, will create success. I didn’t miss a single class because you make them so fun and informative. The Q and A sessions afterwards are the bonus. The exchange of information between you and past participants is mind-blowing. The calls last until the wee hours, and there sure can’t be anyone complaining that you didn’t give them enough to be a success.
I have achieve some success because of your material, but, I have failed myself by not following each action guide to the T. I am looking forward to repeating the course this year. It is worth every dime and then some. This year, I will follow each action guide, because there is no way to fail at learning doing so. I am working to bring about a new political party, so I want to be an excellent interviewer, just like you!
Thanks for being available as a great teacher and letting us repeat your course until we get it right!

Hi Alex, question nr. 7 is so important and I haven’t thought of it before in this context be.
I usually ends all seminars and private sessions with that question, and when people say something like, we’ll tommorow or this weekend I’ll do … I go, “No, what can you do today or right now”, because what we do today is often much more important than what we are going to do tommorow.
And thanks for the awesome seminar in London, I really appriciate you and how you teach and all the different things you teach.
Now I will set aside 30 inutes and incorporate the 7 questions in the outline for a new interview I have to give later this week about the seminar I got the idea for this weekend Friday night after the vip party when we were at the Maze.
Sincerely
Michael
These are great questions. If I am not interviewing someone, these are still great questions for me to ask myself to structure a teleseminar.
I am recommending TSS to a number of folks. As a TSS alumni, I will be retaking the course this year to refresh and to inspire me to make more use of teleseminars in my business.
You always share so much, and it is fresh and new each time. Thank you for inspiring and motivating me to communicate better with my customers, prospects, and partners through the use of teleseminars.
Geri
PS – London was GREAT!
Alex, I can’t thank you enough. After taking your Teleseminar Secrets course, I actually did what you told me to do.
I have made no less than $500k per year using your specific strategies that you taught me in your course.
Because of you and your training, we are changing the lives of thousands of loan officers and real estate agents accross North America.
Absolutely brilliant stuff, and I literally could not have done this without you.
Your humble student,
Carl White
PS. Can’t wait to sit through the classes again this year!
Carl,
Thanks for sharing your success and I can’t wait to teach through the class this year :-)
Good Sales,
~ Alex
Hey Alex,
Alex, the first year I didn’t really understand. The second year which was this year, I understood and put an action plan together.
I started online business on February 12th, 2009.. November 12th was my 9 month anniversary.. What have I accomplished by you being my mentor in Teleseminar Secrets and applying your strategies? Here’s a few:
- I have grown my list to 13.5K in less than 6 months.
- I utilized Teleseminars for interviewing others and using S3 Media Player and
Amazon S3 Media Storage to host my interviews on my blog.
- I became an advanced coach for Dan Kuschell – A Champion Vision in June 2009
(4 month leap into the training seat)
- I became part of Dan Kuschell’s faculty in late August 2009 with my first live
event in San Diego – Spring of 2010.
- I just hit top 3rd place on Jeff Johnson’s super affiliate leader board on November
23rd two slots from 3rd place who was Frank Kern.
And so much more over a nine month period.
Where did it all start?
I was at the World’s Greatest Marketing Seminar by T. Harv Eker to make a marketing success out of my offline business almost three years and I would have argued the fact that online business was the way to go! After being inspired by you, I had many questions going through my mind and upon return, I contacted Abby who said, “Try Alex’s course, if it’s for you you will know and if not, we will glady refund your expense!” Well Alex, I stuck with it and after finally understanding at year two with “Lifetime Alumni” and putting many other things into motion by taking action, I have gone from Zero to Hero in less than 9 months!
A BIG thank you Alex with a BIG thank you to Dolan as well!
To Our Success,
Philip J. Mutrie
Alex,
You always give great content. No fluff. It is appreciated that we can actually use the information.
Do you believe what I posted in FaceBook…That we should have an 8th question…”How do we get in touch with you?” This way we can direct them to our Landing Page for our Teleseminar series.
Your questions are GREAT to generate the emotional interest. And the eighth will drive them to our site.
I would love to know yours and other’s feelings on this.
Thank you for all the great information.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Maurice
Thank you, Maurice.
Happy T-Day to you too and thanks for sharing and commenting.
~ Alex
Maurice,
A HUGE thank you to you…
You made my day. Thanks for acknowledging that the first year is not the last and the there is NO FINISH LINE.
Abby is world-class as is the rest of my Team so your BIG THANK YOU is not only well-received, but very much appreciated.
To our paths crossing often,
~ Alex
Thank you Geri.
Let’s chat after Module #1 of TSS (Dec. 7th).
I heard you loud and clear in the UK and I do want to explore having you facilitate and strategically aligning with me.
Good Sales,
~ Alex
Hey Michael,
Thanks for commenting and sharing. Those 7 questions could be the most remarkable of your “interviewing” life so I truly appreciate you taking it to heart.
Speak soon,
~ Alex
Robert,
Thank you for your comments and sharing your insights. The FTC rules are interesting only because they’d be better off evaluating the claims of in-coming Presidents versus those who produce value for the U.S. – the Entrepreneurs.
As an Entrepreneur, I fund the salaries of the FTC employees, so I find it interesting how they bite the hands that feed them, but nevertheless, they are attempting to protect consumers, so I’m alll for that.
Thanks for sharing,
~ Alex
You both are the best. Nothing under the clouds is more important than managing KNOWLEGE.
Thanks for sharing,
~ Alex

My husband and I have just finished a wonderful meal of Morrocan chicken, baked spagetti squash and crisp stir fried zuccini squash. It was such a tasty, filling and gourmet type meal that he suggested I share our excitement with all the Somersizing fans! The chicken recipe is one of our favorites and we enjoy using the left over preserved lemon in other dishes. We started on this diet in Sept. and have both lost 20 pounds. After a couple of months we did start to cheat a bit and found that as long as we return right back to the plan we maintain our weight. We are off on a two week holiday soon and will try to keep to the diet as much as possible but know that if we return a few pounds up that it is very easy to loose them quickly by going right back to level one again. If the person who was looking for the eggplant parmesan recipe finds it, I would appreciate if you would send it along. I would also like to correspond with anyone who enjoys trading ideas. Good luck to all.
