What Makes Good Trusted Advisors Great?

By Alex Mandossian on March 19, 2009

jay-blog-post We are no longer in the Information Age.  We are at dawn of the Recommendation Age and what Entrepreneurial CEOs need most these days are trusted advisors.

And if you want to become the most recommended (and wealthiest) trusted advisor on your topic of expertise, then I encourage you to adopt the Thought Leadership (TL) Mindset.

As soon as Jay Abraham decided to adopt his TL Mindset, he quickly became the world’s highest paid marketing consultant … almost overnight!

I can’t guarantee that you’ll achieve the same revenue or status results that Jay has enjoyed over the past 30 years, but I can guarantee to educate you to make an intelligent decision on which TL Mindset is ideal for you.

The TL Mindset I discovered about myself was my unique ability to conduct Teleseminar expert interviews back in 2002. Since then I have been acknowledged by my colleagues, friends, mentors and students as “The Larry King of Teleseminars.”

I am now a trusted advisor for many of the world’s greatest Thought Leaders within the Human Potential Movement.

Now it wasn’t easy to get leaders such as (more…)

The 3 “Marketing Paradoxes” Explained (Part 3)

By Alex Mandossian on November 13, 2008

30460087.jpgIn Part 1 of this Marketing Paradoxes three part series, you learned about the Paradox of Distribution which I defined as follows:

“You can’t get adequate distribution of a product until you’ve proven it can sell; but you can’t prove a product can sell until you’ve gotten adequate distribution in the market.”

In Part 2, you learned about the Paradox of Choice which I defined as:

“The more choices you have, the more paralyzed you become as a result of your inability to make clear buying decisions.  The more indecisive you become, the less freedom you have in making buying decisions.”

In Part 3 (what you’re reading now), you’re about to discover (more…)

The “Decoy” Pricing Model

By Alex Mandossian on October 3, 2008

pi-cover.jpgAccording to Wikipedia, the “decoy effect” (also known as the ”asymmetric dominance effect”) is the phenomenon  whereby consumers change their preference between two options when also presented with a third option that is asymmetrically dominated.”

In plainer language, here’s the way decoys are utilized daily during consumer experiences.

Scenario 1: You order a medium-size Pepsi at the movies for $2.75 and the person behind the counter asks, “Would you like a large for just 25 cents more?” You say, “Yes”… that’s the decoy effect.

Scenario 2: You’re sitting at the bar in an airport terminal waiting for your plane to board. As soon as you order your $7 cocktail, the bartender smiles and says, “Want a double-shot for just $2 more?” You say, “Yes”… that’s the decoy effect.

I have no idea what your consumer response would be in similar circumstances, but I do know from my own experience (more…)

Its quick, easy and almost automatic syndication for web publishers … and best of all, all you need is one clutter-free tracking button.

(See it at the lower-left corner of this post?)

Because it’s becoming more and more difficult to keep up with the growing number social media communities the ShareThis plug-in lets you instantly access all of your profiles, friends, and contacts for easy sharing and updating.

Give it a test-drive as a reader of this post and if you like the experience, plug-it into your blogs and other websites as an online publisher.  You and your website visitors will be glad you did.

Ezine Articles + Twitter = More Exposure

By Alex Mandossian on September 17, 2008

print_110.jpgMy favorite and most effective article directory is EzineArticles.  And thanks to my good friend and colleague Jeff Herring, I have had over one hundred (yes 100+ articles) posted there within the last few months.

How?  Simply by “repurposing” faster, better and with less human effort.  I can do this because I write with my mouth, not with my hands utilizing Teleseminar content as my core article material.

More Exposure: If you’re an info marketer who wants more reach with your articles, I recommend you set-up your EzineArticles account to automatically post your approved articles to your Twitter profile.

It’s that easy and powerful!

Key Point:  On September 17th, 2008 I received a call from (more…)

Are You “Open” with Your Marketing Interactions?

By Alex Mandossian on September 9, 2008

Computer GraphicThe Johari Window is an important “quadrant” model named after it’s two inventors, Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham (“Jo-Hari”).

Personally, I’ve found it to be the most useful “window” of opportunity to analyze the fascinating process of human interaction, especially in business interactions between Entrepreneurs and their prospects or customers.

The Johari Window has four panes (quadrants) and divides “personal awareness” into four different classes: Open, Hidden, Blind and Unknown. The lines dividing the four panes are like (more…)

Do You ‘Tweet’ For Your Business?

By Cathy Perkins on June 12, 2008

TwitterDo you ‘tweet’ for your business? If you don’t you should. Twitter has really caught on as a traffic builder.

Tweets are short little posts commenting on what you are doing right now. The key to using Twitter effectively is participation. You must listen as well as speak. The more you listen and respond, the more people will ‘follow you’.

When you tweet, your message is broadcast to everyone who is following you.  If your ‘tweet’ is interesting, your followers will want to see what you are all about and will click over to your blog.

Write a new blog post? Tweet about it. Launching a new product? Tweet about it. Working on a new project? Tweet about it.

The more you interact, the more people will interact with you. So, go over to Twitter and set up an account. Search for people you know and start following them. Start ‘tweeting’ and watch what happens!
