Facebook Timeline For Business Pages: What You Need To Know

How To Increase Productivity In Business Meetings

If there’s one activity that can waste more time, it’s typically business meetings. Why? It’s because it involves other people, and other people may not honor your time as much as you do. I’d like to give you three tips that will help you get more done at business meetings in less time. It just requires that everyone follow the rules and guidelines set.

Productive Meeting Tip #1: Start your meetings five minutes after the hour. Starting five minutes past the hour will help increase your meeting productivity because it gives you time to prepare, especially if you happen to have an earlier meeting that goes a bit longer than it was supposed to.

How To Become More Optimistic (And Why It’s Important)

How optimistic are you in all the areas of your life? Have you sat down and taken some time to really think about it? Having a positive attitude about life, work, and the people I encounter has always been extremely important to me. Attitude is a huge part of success.

If you’re reading this and thinking to yourself, “I’m not sure I’ve been very optimistic lately…”, then it’s time to refocus your thoughts and start today and the rest of your days moving forward with a positive, optimistic attitude.

I read an article from Inc Magazine the other day and in it the author offered six tricks for being more optimistic (and in turn, improving your overall attitude about life, work, relationships, etc.). How to Leverage “Transit Learning”

How many hours do you spend in your car? If you’re like most people the answer is about an hour a day which equates to nine 40-hour work weeks! The following video was originally recorded in the summer, but includes a tip that can be used year-round to put more “passive” and “active” learning into any commute.

If I’m driving, I listen to audio. That’s passive learning. You’re still focused on the road, but you’re listening to podcasts, how-to courses, or audiobooks.

The Problem with Relying Only on LinkedIn Search

Do you use LinkedIn to network with colleagues, business professionals, and potential customers? If so, you’re probably somewhat familiar with the Search function that exists within the site. In fact, you probably use the standard People Search option most often. It’s supposed to be the simplest way to find a connection you are looking for. Here’s a brief description from the site:

“People Search in the search box lets you quickly find the person you are looking for by title,company, school, name, or other characteristics.
